    Senior Luke Orbon was named as one of Long Island’s Top 100 football players by Newsday. He is pictured with Coach Colin Maier and Athletic Director TJ Burke. Congratulations, Luke!

  • Virtual Model UN Conferences

    The 2020-2021 academic year has been a challenge for many New Hyde Park students participating in extracurricular activities. However, the Model UN Club, advised by Mr. Jonathan Novak, was able to quickly adapt, attending numerous virtual conferences during the COVID-19 pandemic, with more to come.

  • District Swim Team Finishes Strong

    The boys district swim team qualified for counties in the 200 medley relay. Christian Cordova (HFC) earned the title of All Division by taking third place in the 100 backstroke. At the county meet, the relay (Christian; Brian Florkowsi, NHP; Ethan Calhoun, FPM; and Ryan Yu, HFC) performed well, and Christian went on to make it to the finals! Overall, the boys had a fantastic season and look forward to next year!

  • Top Soccer Player

    Nicolette Caneda was recognized by Newsday as a Top 100 Long Island girls soccer player for 2021. She had 10 goals and seven assists last season and is committed to play at Manhattan College. Congrats, Nicolette!

  • C-Span Honorable Mention

    Tenth grader Mohamed Adam received an Honorable Mention recognition for his documentary short, “"A Heated Debate & A Burning Building: The Case for Gun Control” in the StudentCam 2021 competition, run by C-SPAN.

    New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s science research team earned second place during Northwell Health’s Medical Marvels Research Competition, held on March 5.

    New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s newspaper, The Chariot, was named Most Outstanding Newspaper during the Adelphi University Virtual Press Day, held on Feb. 26.
