One of the best ways to keep students engaged with a rigorous curriculum is to diversify the way it is delivered. This year’s AP Physics students in Ms. Lovett’s class were given an extra credit opportunity to develop and code a video game using MIT’s Scratch Coding curriculum.
The Sewanhaka Athletic Program has a lot to celebrate when it comes to this year’s boys varsity volleyball team. This year, the team, led by Coach Frank Nuara, went 14-2 and made it to the Nassau County Quarter Finals. This is the farthest the team has made it in the playoffs in Sewanhaka history.
On Jan. 8, the Sewanhaka Music Select Groups performed an Honors Concert to celebrate and demonstrate the musical abilities of talented students. The concert is made up of performances from the Sewanhaka String Ensemble, Jazz Band and Voices of Harmony.
