...where creativity flourishes!
The Art Department of H. Frank Carey High School encourages students to develop skills to create works of art within a historical and multicultural perspective; acquire abilities to identify, interpret and evaluate works of art; and investigate issues and questions concerning the nature and value of art. We offer a variety of courses designed to meet the needs of our diverse student body.  We take special pride in our vertical teaming approach to learning, a philosophy that builds skills gradually from the eighth grade upward through our advanced placement programs. We also take great pride in our digital design and photographic arts programs which allow students to express themselves and create art through the use of current technology and equipment. Our students are afforded every opportunity to prepare for acceptance into the finest art colleges, and are supported and mentored by a warm, caring, dedicated staff of professionals. We also regularly exhibit student artwork through a host of school and community based venues. Feel free to follow us on Instagram @hfcart

It will keep on being beautiful, even if no one bothers to look at it."
