    STUDENT GOVERNMENT

     

    Student Council is an elected organization of students dedicated to improving the school for the benefit of all students.  The Student Council assists in the planning and organization of all major student activities including Homecoming and Spirit Day. It is open to all students.  Monthly meetings are held after school in Room 119.   Meeting dates and times are published in the school calendar.  Election of officers is held in the spring.

    Class Boards promote school and class spirit and represent the students of the grade. They also plan activities such as the Senior Prom, dances, participate in the construction of Homecoming floats as well as Spirit Day activities.  Class Boards are open to all students in the grade who want to contribute their time and ideas.  Elections of class officers are held in the spring, except for the 7th grade elections, which are held in October. Participation on the Class Board instills a sense of responsibility, leadership, and individual growth through involvement in class and school activities. The Class Boards meet on Wednesdays after school.
