     District Students Host Think Pink Game

    The District junior varsity field hockey team helped to drive out cancer at its “Think Pink Game.” The team is made up of a mixture of Floral Park Memorial, H. Frank Carey and Sewanhaka high school students. The girls defeated East Meadow, 2-1, while sporting their “Think Pink” uniforms.

    District Athletes Play in Senior Bowl
    District football players participated in the Thanksgiving morning Nassau County Senior Bowl at Mitchell Field. The district was represented by Elmont Memorial’s Chester Anderson, Michael Djalo and Kaurice Jones; Floral Park Memorial’s Chris Chimera; H. Frank Carey’s Alex Lake, Barry Moore and Frank Porcasi; and Sewanhaka’s Andre Termindor. Anderson was named the game MVP. Congratulations to all!

    Sewanhaka Field Hockey Goes Pink
    The district’s field hockey team, along with other field hockey teams from around Nassau County, participated in “Pink Games” throughout October. Sewanhaka and Seaford High School recently went “Pink” for their game. Sewanhaka was victorious, winning 2-1 in double overtime!

    Congratulations to Sewanhaka’s field hockey team! The team advanced to the Nassau County Playoffs after defeating East Meadow, 2-0. Good luck, ladies!
