The Sewanhaka Central High School District has partnered with SCOPE Education Services to provide Emergency Child Care to First Responders, Medical Care providers and other Essential workers as designated by Governor Cuomo during the school closure due to COVID-19. Any parents working in these professions who are critical to the response effort to this outbreak with school age children and need child care can enroll their child(ren) in this program.
For additional information, please see the links below to the "Emergency Child Care Informational/Instruction Sheet" and to the "Frequently Asked Questions" pages of the SCOPE website:

While the service is not available in our high schools, there are nearby sites that will accept your school age children.
Any essential workers needing child care for children under the age of five in Nassau County can call 516 727-0331 to be connected with a referral specialist who will identify available child care programs that meet each parent’s needs.

Please share this information with your neighbors who fit the above categories but whose children may attend a private or parochial school. I am sure you join me in thanking these vital workers for their service to our entire community and who put the interests of society above their own personal or family needs.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate these uncertain times as a community.
