New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s 2020 yearbook publication, Lance, was awarded a gold medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. This marks the sixth consecutive year the publication has won gold awards from the national journalistic competition sponsored by Columbia University. This prestigious accolade ranks Lance as one of the best yearbooks in the country.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School senior Khushi Shah has advanced to finalist standing in the National Merit Scholarship program. Shah was presented with a Certificate of Merit and will be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in the spring.
During the week of Jan. 25, the New Hyde Park chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America competed in a virtual FBLA Spring contest. Eighteen New Hyde Park students competed against other schools in Nassau County in various business-related events.
