New Hyde Park Students Inducted into World Language Honor Society

New Hyde Park Memorial inducted 184 new members into the World Languages Honor Society on March 15.

Unlike any other year, this was highest number of students achieving this prestigious honor. It was an amazing night that showcased the many talented world languages students and their knowledge of the languages they study.

The program included a guest speaker and former student, Mr. Jomi Oommen, who spoke of his experiences to show how much the study of world languages can impact your life. The ceremony also consisted of three student performances, each of which incorporated Italian, French and Spanish, the three languages studied at New Hyde Park Memorial. The induction ceremony was a great success thanks to WLHS adviser Señora Alice Tiwari, the World Language Honor Society officers, the language club presidents, and all of the teachers, parents and students.
