BOE Honors Elmont Memorial and Sewanhaka High Schools

On March 28, The Board of Education celebrated Elmont Memorial and Sewanhaka high schools for being recognized by Better Outcomes, LLC as schools that have been identified as boosting the achievement of economically disadvantaged students.
The schools were recognized based on a study that was completed on more than 1,000 New York State public schools on demographic data analyses and NYS assessment results from the spring of 2016. The results of this study will be presented at the Beating the Odds; Building Opportunities Conference on June 8 at SUNY New Paltz.

The leadership and staff at Elmont Memorial and Sewanhaka have been identified as schools that are beating the odds and building opportunities.

Congratulations to the staff of Elmont and Sewanhaka High Schools.
