New Hyde Park Celebrates Poster Contest Winners

New Hyde Park Memorial announced the winners of its World Languages Honor Society schoolwide poster contest, which coincided with the school’s celebration of National Foreign Language Week. Each poster displayed this year’s theme, “Making Connections – Languages Are Key.” The winning students received prizes, and some participants’ posters were chosen to be entered in the Long Island Language Teachers’ poster contest, where they will compete with entries from all over Long Island. Congratulations to the following students: junior Ann Marie John, who took first place; senior Carol Sung, who came in second and seventh-grader Aparna Shibu, who won third place.
