Elmont Students Earn Honors at Molloy Science Fair
Congratulations to Elmont Memorial 10th graders Lina Pinzon and Liliann Ulysse, who were first-division honors winners at the Kathy Belton Science Fair at Molloy College. The fair displayed more than 200 ninth and 10th grade research projects from across the New York metro area, which were presented to a panel of judges and peers. Pinzon used a slime mold to study cancer mechanisms, while Ulysse 3D printed a prosthetic hand to develop more responsive joint mechanisms. Pinzon and Ulysse are both rising stars in Elmont’s Science Research Program.
