Summit Experience for Sewanhaka VE Junior Ventures Career Academy
On April 17, Sewanhaka students in the Virtual Enterprises Junior Ventures Career Academy (VE-JV) attended the 2019 Youth Business Summit at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. This event included the International Trade Exhibition, where students designed their trade show booth to highlight their health and wellness company, Bee Happy. At the booth, Bee Happy showcased their product line, which includes essential oils, oil diffusers, bath bombs, candles and more. Several students processed sales transactions, while other students walked around the trade show presenting their business pitch and distributing business cards and brochures. In addition, Sewanhaka students received virtual credit cards, which allowed them to purchase products and services from the various virtual enterprise companies at the trade show.
The VE-JV Career Academy is a great opportunity for students to learn business by doing business. These students had a wonderful experience attending this one-of-a-kind global business convention which hosted more than 4,500 students, 210 virtual enterprise companies and nine countries.
