Elmont Memorial High School Closed December 1-2, 2020

Please be advised that a staff member at Elmont Memorial High School has a confirmed case of Covid-19.  In consultation with the Nassau County Department of Health, Elmont Memorial High School will be closed for at least tomorrow, Tuesday, December 1st and Wednesday December 2nd.  All Elmont Memorial High School faculty and staff will work remotely during this time.  All instruction for students of Elmont Memorial High School will be conducted remotely as well. 

 

As per the guidance from the New York State Education Department and the New York State Department of Health, the building will remain closed to all staff tomorrow and will be deep cleaned and disinfected on Wednesday. 

 

The Nassau County Department of Health will conduct contact tracing and inform those who may need to quarantine. Cooperation with the Department of Health is essential to determine the length of the school closure.  

 

Once the contact tracing is completed, I will be able to inform you as to the length of the closure.

 

As always, the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff are our top priority.
