Sewanhaka High School and CTE Program Closed January 13, 2021

Please be advised that 4 staff members at Sewanhaka High School have confirmed cases of Covid-19.  This has caused the quarantine of an entire academic department, grades 7-12 for a total of 15 people in quarantine.  In consultation with the Nassau County Department of Health, Sewanhaka High School will be closed for at least tomorrow, Wednesday, January 13th.

Due to the timing of our notification of the positive cases, the building was deep cleaned this evening and contact tracing is in process.

All Sewanhaka High School faculty and staff will work remotely during this time.  All instruction for students of Sewanhaka High School will be conducted remotely as well.  All Sewanhaka High School students that attend CTE programs will attend those classes remotely as per their daily schedule.

District students who are scheduled to attend the CTE program at Sewanhaka High School in-person on Wednesday will remain at their home school, where they will participate in those classes remotely.

As always, the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff are our top priority.
