Important Message from the Superintendent, 10.19.2020
Please be advised that a staff member at New Hyde Park Memorial High School has a confirmed case of Covid-19. In consultation with the Nassau County Department of Health, New Hyde Park Memorial High School will be closed for at least tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20th and Wednesday, October 21st. All New Hyde Park Memorial High School faculty and staff will work remotely during this time. All instruction for students of New Hyde Park Memorial High School will be conducted remotely as well.
As per the guidance from the New York State Education Department and the New York State Department of Health, the building will remain closed to all staff tomorrow and will be deep cleaned and disinfected on Wednesday.
This two-day period will also permit the Nassau County Department of Health to conduct contact tracing and inform those who may need to quarantine.
Once the contact tracing is completed, I will be able to inform you as to the length of the closure.
