Important Message from the Superintendent, 12.7.2020

Please be advised that a staff member at the Central Administration building has a confirmed case of Covid-19.  In consultation with the Nassau County Department of Health, the Central Administration building will be closed for at least tomorrow, Tuesday December 8th and Wednesday, December 9th.  All Central Office personnel will work remotely during this time, and be available via e-mail.  If you are unsure where to direct your inquiry, please send an e-mail to schsdcentral@sewanhakaschools.org and your message will be forwarded to the correct person.

 

As per the guidance from the New York State Education Department and the New York State Department of Health, the building will remain closed to all staff tomorrow and will be deep cleaned and disinfected on Wednesday.  

 

The Nassau County Department of Health will conduct contact tracing and inform those who may need to quarantine. Cooperation with the Department of Health is essential to determine the length of the school closure.  

 

Once the contact tracing is completed, I will be able to inform you as to the length of the closure. 

 

As always, the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff are our top priority.
