Important Message from the Superintendent, 12.10.2020

Please be advised that a student at New Hyde Park Memorial High School has a confirmed case of Covid-19.  In consultation with the Nassau County Department of Health, New Hyde Park Memorial High School will be closed for at least tomorrow, Friday December 11th.  All New Hyde Park Memorial High School faculty and staff will work remotely during this time.  All instruction for students of New Hyde Park Memorial High School will be conducted remotely as well.  CTE students from New Hyde Park Memorial High School will attend their CTE courses remotely.

As per the guidance from the New York State Education Department and the New York State Department of Health, the buildings will remain closed to all staff tomorrow and will be deep cleaned and disinfected on Saturday.

The Nassau County Department of Health will conduct contact tracing and inform those who may need to quarantine. Cooperation with the Department of Health is essential to determine the length of the school closure.

It is our hope to reopen the building on Monday, December 14th if contact tracing has been completed.  The building will have been closed for the required 48-hour period by the end of Saturday, December 12th.

As always, the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff are our top priority.
