The winter season was in full effect at our school, as each musical ensemble showcased their performances from both school and home! Thanks to the new instruments purchased by the district, all of our band and orchestra students were able to continue making music during remote learning.
The seventh grade band united virtually to perform “First Winter Sleigh Ride,” and the eighth grade band put their hands and feet together to present their rendition of “Christmas Stomp.” The ninth grade band performed “Celebrate the Season,” and the Elmont orchestra joined together to play “Jingle Bells at the Equator.”
The senior high band students performed an array of familiar melodies, along with special feature presentations by Pia Marquez, Kelly Williams-Carter, Ajayda Griffith and Victor Phill.
Congratulations to all performers and a big “thank you” to the district administration for securing each scholar-musician with an instrument to keep students on beat during the 2020-2021 School Year!
