The artwork of 10 district students was featured at the 14th annual Advanced Visions: High School Artists of Excellence exhibit from Dec. 12- Jan. 24 in the B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library at LIU Post in Brookville.

Frank Carey, Isra Ahmed and Matthew Wong from New Hyde Park Memorial, and Amber Nasir and Jillian Zieger from Sewanhaka High School.

Floral Park Memorial’s Meghan McCarthy received a prestigious Juror’s Award for her “What’s Inside” piece, and H. Frank Carey’s Isabella Parente received an impressive honorable mention for her “Portal” piece.

The Advanced Visions: High School Artists of Excellence exhibition featured artwork by 73 high school Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate students. This year, 46 public and private schools throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties submitted students’ artwork for display. The district art department is honored to have been so proudly represented and recognized at this distinguished exhibit.
