The Floral Park Memorial High School community enjoyed an amazing homecoming celebration on Sept. 22.
Students, faculty, administrators and local elected officials joined the parade, which featured wonderful music performed by the school marching band. Serving as Grand Marshall was retired guidance counselor Antoinette Ursini. Members of the community enjoyed a carnival as part of the festivities. Congratulations to homecoming queen Ellaiza Caragan and king Ethan Eng.
The Knights didn’t disappoint, defeating Valley Stream North, 34-6. Spectators also enjoyed energized halftime performances from the Florettes, cheerleaders and marching band. As part of the homecoming and spirit activities planned at the school, each class of students decorated a hallway to a variety of themes, including “Florassic Park,” Harry Potter, Marvel, “Star Wars” and “Toy Story.”
