Dear Sewanhaka Families,
It is important to us that we offer our students the opportunity to be an integral part of the course selection process. As a result, we continue to evaluate our curriculum and the courses we offer our students to further engage them in the school space.
During the holidays, you will be able to access the 2024 -2025 course catalog as well as videos introducing some of our elective offerings. This information will be on the Sewanhaka Central High School District’s website as well as an app entitled Course Selection for ‘24-‘25 made available on your child’s school issued device. Our hope is that by sharing all of this with you, you will be able to make decisions about courses for the next school year as a family.
Beginning the week of January 8th, students will be making their elective course choices via the Infinite Campus Student app in their classes as teachers guide them through their selections. Later in the month of January, students will be given the opportunity to meet with their school counselors and finalize their requests. If you have any questions or would like further information on specific courses, feel free to contact the chairperson of the department in your child’s school.
Our hope is that this process allows our students to make decisions with a deeper understanding of the offerings throughout our schools that are reflective of their interests.
