Xilena Medina is an incredibly compassionate, selfless, hardworking and highly intelligent young woman. Time and time again, this senior has demonstrated how resilient and determined she is. She approaches each day with a smile on her face and is incredibly caring and compassionate towards others. Her excellent work ethic has earned her membership in the English, Social Studies, World Language and National honor societies. In addition to her academics, she is also involved in various extracurricular activities including Model UN, Seahawk Holmes, Mind Over Matter, LOG, Spanish Leadership and Student Government. She holds numerous leadership positions as the treasurer of the Road to Medicine Club, historian of Model UN, vice president of Carey Cares, LOG yearbook editor, and historian for the National Honor Society. This senior holds several jobs including babysitting, owning her own makeup and hair supply company, event designing, and working with her family.

Rebecca Sunny is an amazing young woman who has left a remarkable impression on the hallways and classrooms of Carey. Her 100.97 grade point average earned her placement in the Math, Science, Social Studies, World Language, English, Tri- M and National Honor societies, holding leadership positions in most of them. She is also resident of the Spanish Leadership Club, vice president of the Chosen Gen Club, secretary of the Carey Mentoring program, secretary of the Road to Medicine Club, sits on the council of the Carey Kindness Committee and plays alongside professionals in the pit orchestra for Carey productions. She leaves behind a legacy of academic rigor and community awareness, having volunteered with local hospitals and organizations. She is always ready with a positive attitude, infectious smile and generous spirit.
