Members of the H. Frank Carey High School faculty recently participated in the No Shave November to evoke conversations about both testicular and prostate cancers. The goal of this month-long event was to cultivate awareness and raise funds to support cancer prevention, research and education for these two diseases.

Not only were there some amazing beards and mustaches, but the school community helped raise $930 for the Brian Forgione Foundation. Forgione, who passed away from testicular cancer in 2002, was a friend of science teacher Charles Bewick.

The Brian Forgione Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities in education and athletics by inspiring and empowering individuals affected by cancer.
