Rachel O’Day and Reagan Govert - Seniors of the month

H. Frank Carey High School has announced that Rachel O’Day and Reagan Govert are the Seniors of the Month for September.

Rachel is incredibly intelligent, mature, energetic and compassionate. This exceptional senior exhibits every trait of a true scholar, athlete, musician, artist and humanitarian. She is an incredibly bright AP student who was inducted into the National, Tri-M, Word Language, Art, Science, English and Math honor societies. A dedicated athlete, she is a valued member of both the varsity tennis and basketball teams. As a result of her acute leadership skills, she was selected to be the president of Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society. She is editor in chief of LOG and historian of the Class Board. She is also a member of Senior High Mathletes, Pit Orchestra and the concert and marching bands. Outside of Carey, Rachel is an accomplished Girl Scout. In addition, she has been an active member of the Class of 2022 as one of the main artists in creating decorations for Spirt Day. Not only is this student admired for her continued school and community involvement, but for her positive attitude and uplifting nature.

Reagan is the face of H. Frank Carey High School. There is not an event that exists without this enthusiastic senior being a part of it. She puts her heart and soul in all she does, and her commitment and dedication to her school community is unsurpassed. Not only is she an essential part of this school as Student Government president, she is also president of National Honor Society, Model UN and Musical. She holds the position of editor for the LOG, is a member of the Class Board and acts as the social media liaison for the Clipper. She is an outstanding achiever in academics and has been initiated into the English and Tri M honor societies. H. Frank Carey’s stage will not be the same when she graduates, as she has been a staple in our musical productions, but we wish her well as she pursues a future in musical theatre. This hard working, highly motivated and selfless senior has dedicated countless hours to Carey and acts a role model for all.

Congratulations, Rachel and Reagan!
