Ryan Noonan and Catherine Scarantino

H. Frank Carey High School has announced that Ryan Noonan and Catherine Scarantino were the Seniors of the Month for January.

Ryan is an incredibly impressive senior with an outstanding record of academic, personal and extracurricular achievement. This student can be described as kind, mature, hard-working, friendly and respectful. He shines among his peers; not only because of his academic achievement and innate ability, but also as a result of his integrity and spirit. He is simply unstoppable and extremely committed to his involvement in numerous schoolwide activities. He is actively involved in FBLA, Hallways to Runways Club and Mathletes. A dedicated athlete, he is a valued member of the varsity basketball team, and he also teaches basketball to younger children. His commitment to academics has earned him membership in the Business, English, Science, World Language and National honor societies. This student is greatly involved in the Boy Scouts of America and is currently working on his Eagle Scout project.

Catherine is a dedicated, responsible and extremely kind and caring senior. She has been a force at H. Frank Carey with her involvement and commitment to numerous school activities. This enthusiastic student has been a true role model and leader in our school building. She is an artistically talented and an extremely creative young lady and has been a major contributor in the Carey Art Department. She plans to major in photography in college. She holds the positions of president of the Photography Club, historian of the Art Honor Society, editor-in-chief of the yearbook and publicity chair for the Clipper. She has also been actively involved in the National and Art honor societies, as well as the Carey Leadership Gym Program. She is a very skilled athlete on both the varsity volleyball and varsity softball teams. This school has been forever impacted by all this seniors’ efforts.
