Solomon Roy and Giulia Spinzo

H. Frank Carey High School is proud to announce that Solomon Roy and Giulia Spinzo are the Seniors of the Month for December.

Solomon is incredibly bright and hard-working, going above and beyond in all he does. His outgoing, kind and friendly nature makes him extremely likeable to staff and students at Carey. In addition to being an exemplary leader, he works well in groups and can always be depended upon to get the job done. This senior shines as president of the French Club, treasurer of the National Honor Society, and treasurer of the Chosen Generation Club. He has been vital to the implementation and organization of the Carey Academic tutoring center, and his efforts have helped many younger students. He volunteers for the campaign of a local congressman and has gained valuable experience working at a law firm. His determination and perseverance in his studies has earned him membership in the National, Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and World Language honor societies.

Giulia is a hard-working team player who is passionate about service and involvement within our community. She can be seen everywhere within our building, and one can be assured that she will always have a smile on her face and go out of her way to say hello to everyone. This scholar-athlete has been captain of the varsity soccer team for the past two seasons, and she also earned All-Conference honors in lacrosse last year. She has served as corresponding secretary for Student Government, editor of LOG, editor of the Mind Over Matter Club, secretary of the World Language Honor Society, co-leader of the Carey Crazies, and an ambassador for both the National Honor Society and Rock Out Cures. Along with her leadership roles, she's an esteemed member of Carey Cares peer mentoring, Spanish Leadership and the Road to Medicine clubs. This AP scholar speaks three languages and has been recognized for her academic prowess by being selected to the National, English, Math, Science, Social Studies and World Language honor societies. In addition to being nominated to our homecoming court, this amazing young lady also works part-time at a local restaurant.

Congratulations, Solomon and Giulia!
