On Feb. 1, the Business Honor Society, FBLA, Mrs. McGarry and Mr. Teemsma hosted a credit card seminar. Forty students were in attendance. The seminar started off with credit card trivia. The students also learned key vocabulary associated with credit cards, as well as the dangers of failing behind on payments. Students looked more deeply at real life examples of credit card fine print. They also looked at what comprises credit scores and how certain actions affect your score. As a bonus, students were given a Dos & Don’ts overview on credit cards.
