Elmont Memorial High School senior and valedictorian Yusef Lateef has been selected as a 2024 Coca-Cola Scholar. Yusef, who is among 150 high school seniors nationwide chosen for this honor, will receive a $20,000 college scholarship.
The 150 high school seniors were selected from an initial pool of more than 103,800 applications from across the country. They were chosen their academic excellence, leadership, and service demonstrated in school and community activities.
Yusef, along with the other Coca-Cola Scholars, has been invited to attend Coca-Cola Scholars Weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 25-28. The scholars will participate in the Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Development Institute, which is facilitated by program alumni
