An exceptional student with a deep passion for mathematics, science and technology, Alexia Moreau has demonstrated unwavering academic excellence throughout her high school career. She has undertaken a rigorous course load, enrolling in 10 Advanced Placement classes and earning both the AP Scholar with Distinction honor and the AP Capstone Diploma. Her commitment to her studies is further reflected in her membership in numerous honor societies, including English, Tri-M, Jazz, Social Studies (Rho Kappa), Science and the National Honor Society. Driven by her enthusiasm for STEM, Alexia serves as secretary of the Math Honor Society, captain of the Science Bowl team, and a dedicated participant in the STEP program and Mathletes. Her achievements were recognized with a Rensselaer Medal Award, presented to students who excel in math and science. An aspiring veterinarian, Alexia was selected as one of only 80 students – out of 586 applicants – to attend North Carolina State University’s VetCamp. There, she gained hands-on experience in suturing, dissection, animal handling and collaborative work with veterinary professionals. A talented musician, Alexia is an accomplished All-County flutist and performs in the PIT orchestra, global jazz orchestra, and jazz band. She has also earned a place in the All-District Band for three consecutive years and serves as the section leader of the school’s marching band. Beyond her academic and musical pursuits, Alexia is deeply committed to service, volunteering as a math tutor and actively contributing to the community as a member of Key Club.
Congratulations, Alexia!
