Elmont Memorial High school junior Briana Cole earned first place at the New York State Scholastic Rowing Championship, held May 9-10 in Saratoga Springs.
Competing in the second varsity quad, Briana and her three teammates captured the state title against top high school rowers from across New York. She rows with Row New York out of Flushing Meadows and has been a member of the program for the past two years.
