Kayden Prince demonstrates caring in different ways. He cares about his own success in the classroom. He is always ready to work and completes all his tasks, assignments and class notes. He cares about his classmates because he is always willing to work with a partner and help them with whatever the class is focusing on. He is always respectful, and kind spoken to them. Finally, he cares for the overall functioning of the classroom. He will remind his peers of their responsibilities and will demonstrate the proper classroom etiquette.   
 
Koddy Williams-Vallejo is kind-hearted, considerate and friendly. He assists his peers inside and outside of the classroom. Koddy also assists his teachers within the classroom. He enjoys learning and is eager to share his knowledge. 

Ashlee Sinchi truly embodies what it means to be caring. She is polite, considerate, patient and understanding. She regularly checks in with her teachers to see how they are doing and frequently offers to help others. She comforts others when they are feeling down and celebrates them when they achieve their goals. Ashlee is incredibly caring.

Markeise Duff is always there for his classmates when they are feeling a little down. He comes into school every day asking his teachers how their night was and how they are doing. He is always the first to remind his classmates when they may have left an item behind and the first to tell his teachers if one of his classmates are upset.  Markeise is one of the most caring students and always wants the best for everyone. 

Ian Hodge has been such an amazing student and friend to everyone. He is always ready to learn, with a smile on his face. When other kids are struggling, he is the first student to volunteer to help. Ian will also engage the students into the lessons by taking over the lesson, and teaching the kids himself. Ian’s dream is to become a teacher.

Cynthia Estevez has a heart of gold. She is always looking out for her fellow classmates. She often volunteers to take notes for students that are absent from school. She is not shy to raise her hand to answer questions in class or to help others out in a small group. Cynthia is very caring young lady and sets a great example for her peers.  

Phillippe Jean Joseph shows that he cares about his peers and teachers daily through his kind words. He is polite and is always asking how others are doing. He shows empathy when he feels someone is not doing well and is always ready to cheer them up. He greets everyone with a smile on his face and genuinely looks to make connections with others. Philippe deserves to be recognized for his kindness, friendliness and caring.  

Ayesha Zaidi has grown a lot over this past school year and with that, she has become more caring toward classmates and teachers. On multiple occasions, she has gone out of her way to help classmates that were unsure of what to complete during the lesson. On one particular day, Ayesha came into class and notified them that it was one of her fellow classmate’s birthday. Because of this, the class sang “happy birthday” to that student and she was so happy! Ayesha also goes out of her way to work with classmates who don’t have a partner or have a group during collaborative assignments. When a teacher was out due to a family matter, Ayesha would often ask how he was doing. Ayesha has grown so much over the school year and is extremely deserving of this award!  

Jonathan Garcia is an extremely caring person who looks out for others and makes sure no one is left out. When working in groups he always offers to work with the student who may struggle at times or isn’t the most popular. Jonathan is very aware of other people's feelings and is highly respectful to everyone. When a student or teacher is out, he always expresses his care when they return. Jonathan will offer to help anyway possible to make things easier for that person. Jonathan is a role model for other students because of his caring ways. He is just the right dose of what this world needs today. 

Josemeilyn Flores Abarua not only cares about growing and learning in the classroom, but also expresses care for other students, teachers, and staff members. If other students are upset or frustrated, she lets them know that it's okay. There have been many times when a student would start panicking about something, and she would turn to them and say, It’s okay, it's gonna be okay. Recently, a one-to-one aide that is in the classroom went home because she wasn't feeling well, and she asked me if I could text her that she hopes she feels better. When the aide returned on that Monday, the first thing Josie asked her was how she was feeling from Friday. This has been the same case when the class had their TA out, as well. Josie is always expressing concern and care for others.  

Menelik Richards has helped other students grow; one student in particular. He understands that everyone is unique and doesn't let that stop him from being friends inside and outside of that classroom. When Menelik is working with his classmates during class, he is extremely kind and patient even when his classmate is struggling. Menelik will help guide and bring out the best in many of the students.

Nathalia Duverge helps out her classmates with notes that they may have missed, aides in translating Spanish to English for her peers, assists in the afterschool program for PALS kids and is a thoughtful person overall.  

Toni McCauley helps her classmates with examples during class if they have difficulty understanding the concept. She takes the time to care for her classmates when they are feeling down or need to vent. Toni is a caring person and is always concerned for others.   

Dequan McIntosh is a kind young man. He is always respectful and polite to his peers. Dequan asks his teachers how they are doing on a daily basis.   

Javari John-Garcia is a polite young man. He cares about his classmates and teachers. Javari is hardworking and always strives to do the right thing.  

Raul Cruz is a model student for his peers. He is respectful to everyone around him.   

Terrell Lewis is an outgoing, confident and caring young man. He always gives 101% to help others out in class while also being very open about his strengths and weaknesses in the classroom. He is humble, driven and non-judgmental towards his peers. He is an active member of the Men of Elmont, and every day strives to put a smile on everybody’s faces.

Gregory Wilson has matured and grown a tremendous amount. He will always walk into class on time, greet his teachers and peers, and make sure everyone feels included. He advocates for his needs and acknowledges that he may learn differently but he knows that’s what makes him who he truly is. He does not judge others based on their learning needs and instead picks others up when they are struggling or down. 

Shania Milon is a very diligent student. Though she is quiet, she is mighty when it comes to completing her assignments. She is never unkind, asks questions when she needs help and is always respectful.  

Eyan Smith always does the right thing when it comes to his work. He is a sweet young man and is very kind-hearted.
