On March 23, the district’s art department hosted an exceptional student artist reception at the Central Administration Building to acknowledge and celebrate the talents of 25 remarkable student artists from the district. Each district art teacher selected a masterpiece from their top-performing student for display, resulting in a diverse and impressive showcase. The event was attended by district supervisors, teachers and proud family members who all joined in celebrating the creative abilities of our wonderful student artists.

Representing Floral Park’s art department with great pride were four extraordinary artists: Pari Grover, grade 10 from Ms. Glasser’s Contemporary Artmaking class; Ariana Salcedo, grade 12 from Mrs. Papajohn-Shaw’s Fashion Illustration class; Fiona So, grade 10 from Mr. Kutner’s Drawing and Painting class; and Shanelle Tangonan, grade 12 from Ms. Santana’s Advanced Placement Drawing class. Their exceptional pieces of art will continue to be displayed in the Central Administration Offices throughout the year, captivating visitors with their inspiring creativity.
