A big FELICITACIONES to eighth graders Annemarie Alfonsi and Mary Padovani for each earning first place in the Long Island Language Teachers (LILT) poetry contest and poster contest, respectively. LILT is a comprehensive organization of language educators in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
This year's theme was Languages Link Us Together. Mary created a remarkable poster, and Annemarie wrote an original poem in Spanish centered on the theme of Contemporary Life - Travel, A Journey Through Life. Both students are in Mrs. DeMarco's Spanish class. Their talent and dedication are truly inspiring, reflecting the essence of linguistic and cultural diversity celebrated by LILT.
