¡Enhorabuena! to ninth grader Annemarie Alfonsi for earning first place for the second year in a row in the Long Island Language Teacher poetry contest! LILT is a comprehensive organization of language educators in Nassau and Suffolk counties. This year’s theme was “World Languages, World Citizens.” Annemarie wrote an original poem in Spanish centered on the theme of science, technology and the arts. Her dedication to language and the arts is profound, which reflects the essence of linguistic and cultural diversity celebrated by LILT. Here’s to Annemarie for being a shining example of how language and art unite us all!
