Students in parking lot of school.

On Sept. 13, the Ecology Club and Student Council attended our school's annual beach clean-up at Zach’s Bay Beach in Jones Beach State Park. They collected 279 pounds of garbage off the beach! This ranged from many types of items: plastic bags, shoes, rubber, glass and netting. With the help of amazing volunteers, the students were able to make the beach a safer environment for the wildlife and nature that resides. Thank you to advisers Ms. Bohatyritz and Mrs. Dierlam, and thank you to chaperones Ms. Caccamo and Mr. Kern, for all their help. Due to everyone’s efforts, the students and staff were able to make the beach clean-up a true success!
