On Oct. 17, Floral Park Memorial’s Virtual Enterprise students attended their first trip of the year, the annual Leadership Conference at Long Island University.

Students listened to a panel of business leaders and professors who spoke about leadership, emotional intelligence and the employability skills today’s students need to succeed. They also connected with peers from other schools who currently hold C-Suite positions within their firms, gaining valuable perspectives on competition while exchanging ideas.

Each participating school presented an elevator pitch highlighting their firm’s concept. Floral Park Memorial was proudly represented by this year’s CEO, Rayan Hussein, who delivered the team’s pitch.

This conference provided an important opportunity for our students to build connections, sharpen their skills and gain a glimpse into the competitive world of business. To learn more about our Virtual Enterprise program and this year’s company, feel free to reach out to any of our VE students, or stop by Room 235 during Period 6 to see them in action!
