On Dec. 10, the Nassau County Football Coaches Association awarded Floral Park Football with the Community Service Award for volunteering their time at Liz's Day, a local breast cancer fundraising event, held at Floral Park Recreation Center. Members from the varsity and junior varsity teams set up tables, tents and moved benches the Friday evening before the event. The junior high team went on Saturday morning to help set up water stations and signs for this incredible event. It is truly an entire program effort to help the community. The football program makes it their mission to be servant leaders, choosing to help others before self. They are honored to receive this prestigious award from Nassau County. Go Knights!
