Congratulations to our art and literary magazine, Trumpet, on a distinguished national honor. The 2025 edition, Trumpet: Beauty in the Ordinary, earned a “Superior” rating in the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) REALM program, a highly competitive national program known for its rigorous standards and commitment to excellence in student art and literary publications. This designation represents the second-highest honor awarded by REALM.
This achievement reflects the talent, creativity and dedication of the Trumpet club members, as well as the many students who contributed their writing and artwork to this outstanding publication. Under the guidance of club adviser Ms. Poulos-Lutz, Floral Park Memorial High School continues its strong tradition of fostering artistic expression and literary excellence.
