Congratulations to senior Brendan Martin, who reached an incredible milestone on Feb. 6, scoring his 1,000th career point as a Floral Park Knight!

A three-year varsity starter, Brendan has been a cornerstone of the Knights’ basketball program and a driving force behind one of the most successful eras in school history. Most notably, he helped lead the team to the Nassau County Championship last season; a feat accomplished only once before in the program's history. His leadership, work ethic and competitive spirit have elevated the program and inspired teammates and fans alike.

Martin is a star both on and off the court, carrying a 91 overall GPA while excelling at the highest level of competition. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous accolades that reflect both his individual excellence and team success, including:

  • 2024 All-Conference Player

  • 2025 Newsday Preseason Top 100 Players on Long Island

  • 2025 All-County Player

  • 2025 BCANY All-Star

  • 2025 Conference Champion

  • 2026 Newsday Preseason Top 100 Players on Long Island

  • 2026 Newsday Top 10 Guards on Long Island

  • 2026 Conference Champion

In addition to his scoring achievements, Brendan holds the school record for most career wins by a player in program history with 66 and counting, a testament to his impact on winning and team culture. He has also been nominated for Conference Player of the Year and the prestigious Hank Williams Award (Small School Nassau County Player of the Year).

“Brendan’s milestone is more than just points on a scoreboard,” said Coach Sean Boyle. “It represents years of dedication, leadership, and commitment to his teammates and the Floral Park community. He has set a standard for what it means to be a Knight.”
