Floral Park Memorial High School is proud to announce that Elizabeth “Charlie” Turner has been nominated for the prestigious Roger Rees Award for Outstanding Performer in a Musical for their portrayal of Jojo in the school’s recent production of “Seussical the Musical.” Charlie is one of just 50 students selected from across the Greater New York City area for this distinguished honor.
The Outstanding Performer Award is presented annually to two students who have delivered exceptional performances in qualifying roles in their high school musicals. The two students go on to represent the Greater New York City area at The Broadway League Foundation’s National High School Musical Theatre Awards, The Jimmy Awards.
A tremendous talent both on and off the stage, Charlie has made a lasting impact on the school’s music and performing arts community. They are an active member of the Senior High Chorus, Long Island Sounds, Wind Ensemble, Senior High Band and the Marching Knights of Sewanhaka.
This nomination recognizes Charlie's extraordinary dedication, artistry and passion for performance.
