In 2025, the Knights captured the Nassau County Championship for the first time since 2015, and this past season went on to win the Long Island Championship for the first time in school history. Declan also earned All-Conference honors in both soccer and basketball, showcasing his versatility and leadership across multiple sports. Brendan was recognized as Conference Player of the Year for his outstanding contributions on the court.
On the soccer field, Charles McCarren was a major difference-maker for the Floral Park Memorial boys' soccer team alongside Declan Lally. Together, they helped lead the Knights to back-to-back Nassau County Championships and, in 2024, secured the program’s first-ever New York State Championship. Charles was also recognized with All-County honors for his exceptional season.
The girls' soccer program also continued its rise as one of the premier programs on Long Island. Sophia Vigo, Hailey Diaz, Elisa Salcedo, Siena McCree and Michaela Catalano were all part of a historic run that saw the team reach the Final Four in consecutive seasons for the first time in school history. Individually, Siena earned recognition as a two-time All-State goalkeeper and Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, while Sophia and Michaela both received All-Conference honors.
On the baseball diamond, Sebastian Cabrera, David Cabrera, Connor Jones and Jake Ragusa helped lead Floral Park Memorial to a historic season, clinching the program’s first playoff berth in nine years and helping reestablish the Knights as a competitive force in Nassau County baseball.
The Floral Park Memorial community congratulates all of these student-athletes on their accomplishments and looks forward to following their continued success at the collegiate level and beyond. Their commitment, resilience, and achievements have left an indelible mark on the school community and will continue to put Floral Park Memorial on the map for years to come.
