On Oct. 6, Floral Park’s Virtual Enterprise students stepped into the professional world, interviewing for positions in their company. For the ninth year, the Floral Park Chamber of Commerce joined us to make the experience as real as it gets.

Our panel included Mr. Shane Parouse, Chamber President; Ms. Marie Grant, former Chamber President; and Mr. Baabur Khondker, Senior Executive. These local business owners and community members generously gave their time to review resumes and cover letters and to interview each candidate; just as they would in their own businesses. After weeks of preparation, our students impressed the panel, making for a very competitive selection.

We are deeply grateful to the Chamber and our panelists for investing in our students year after year. Their support gives our students an authentic experience they'll carry well beyond the classroom.
