College Board’s AP School Honor Roll

New Hyde Park Memorial High School has been named to the College Board’s Advanced Placement School Honor Roll for the 2022-23 school year, earning Gold Distinction.

According to the College Board, the AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit and maximizing college readiness.

New Hyde Park Memorial earned the Gold Distinction due to having 68% of students in the 2023 graduating class who took an AP exam at any point in high school, regardless of score; 48% of students in the graduating class who scored 3+ on any AP Exam in high school; and 35% of students in the graduating class who took 5 or more AP Exams in high school, where at least 1 exam was taken in 9th or 10th grade.
