Congratulations to seventh grader Razia Shaikh-Zaman, who recently received an honorable mention in the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association's 2025 Student Poetry Contest. Razia's poem, Beyond the Stars, was selected from among the hundreds of entries for its insight and style. She is a student in Mr. Ferrara's English class.
