Eighth grader Zachary Turingan competed at the 2022 USA National Karate Championships and Team Trials from June 30-July 3 in Spokane, Washington, and won Gold in Boys 12-13 y/o -50kg Elite Kumite which earned him a spot in the USA Junior National Team.
He represented the United States of America at the 2022 Pan-American Karate Championships in Mexico City, Mexico, from Aug. 25-27.
Even though he fell short of bringing home a medal for the country due to an injury that he sustained during the process, he gained valuable knowledge and experience and got the privilege of training with the best USA Karate Team Coaches.
