On Oct. 9, Sewanhaka Business students participated in the Adelphi Apprentice Challenge, collaborating with students from schools across Long Island to “Make Asking for Help Easier.” Teams developed creative campaigns to help teens recognize and feel comfortable using LICAB’s EmpowerLine, which supports students and families experiencing bullying. Their ideas included social media content, school promotions, awareness events and community partnerships to encourage students to reach out for support.
Three Sewanhaka students advanced to the finalist teams, and Farlyne Pierre-Paul’s team won the Adelphi Apprentice Challenge! This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to apply their business skills, collaborate with new peers and tackle a meaningful, real-world challenge. Congratulations to Farlyne and all our participating students!
