Mr. Florko’s Forensic Science class participated in the “Skype a Scientist Live” presentation on Oct. 7, hosted by microbiologist Justin Stewart. He presented his research regarding the symbiosis between bacteria, fungi and plants with an emphasis on microbes living in and on plant roots. This was followed by a Q & A session between Skype viewers and Mr. Stewart. The students learned that that microbes were essential for human survival and they work with other microbes to survive and reproduce.
