The last week of October, Sewanhaka’s SADD Club organized a number of activities and events for students and staff. On Monday and Tuesday, the club sold pretzels after school to raise money for the American Cancer Society. On Wednesday after school, SADD members participated in a meditation hour during 9th period and after school by playing relaxing orchestra music in the atrium. On Thursday, club members organized a “Talk It Out Pledge” in the cafeteria by having students sign pledges agreeing to keep lines of communication open with their parents and thinking before sending text messages. SADD Advisor Mr. Anderson would like to give special thanks to members Connor Doyle, JJ Tucker, Celeste Brucculeri, Ralanadae Cayo, Ivana Chavez, Johnson Varghese, Nisrine Bensoltana and Christopher Casanova for their participation in these events.
