Sewanhaka High School performed at the 58th annual Newsday Marching Band Festival at Mitchel Field Athletic Complex in Uniondale on Oct. 19. The festival features bands from across Nassau and Suffolk counties who showcase their musical and performing talents. In addition to Sewanhaka and the other high schools entertaining friends, family and faculty, this event acts as a fundraiser for each participating school and also funds a donation to Newsday Charities. The hard work and dedication of Sewanhaka’s Marching Band, Color Guard and Rockettes was evident by their wonderful performance and cheers from the stands.
