and the Historical Society of the New York Courts invite high school students
in New York State, to participate in an art contest celebrating the
“Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility, and Collaboration.”

Sewanhaka Central High School District Introduces the Seal of Biliteracy Opportunity
The Sewanhaka Central High School is delighted to announce that students will now have the opportunity to achieve the New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB). The NYSSB recognizes students who develop high levels of proficiency in English and one or more world languages.
Students have multiple pathways to achieve this recognition by their senior year. Students can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in world languages studied at school, or in a language that may be spoken at home.

The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of the Sewanhaka Central High School District originally scheduled for November 22, 2022 has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 7:00pm.
The meeting will take place at Sewanhaka High School. It is anticipated that a motion to adjourn to Executive Session will be made immediately after the opening of the public portion of the meeting to discuss matters involving negotiations, particular personnel and matters within the attorney-client relationship.
The Audit Committee of the Board of Education of the Sewanhaka Central High School District, originally scheduled for November 22, 2022 has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 7:00pm. The meeting will take place at Sewanhaka High School. It is anticipated that a motion to adjourn to Executive Session, for this purpose, will be made immediately after the opening of the public portion of the meeting, to review and discuss with the external auditor any risk assessment of the District’s fiscal operations.
Public Session will reconvene in the Auditorium at 8:15pm. The public is invited to attend.
International Night is this Friday - tickets are on sale November 17th and 18th after school.
Blood Drive is Wednesday, November 23rd - all students participating, 16 and older, must have a signed parent permission slip. Permission Slips are in the main office.
